Coriandar Seeds
Coriander seeds come from the Coriandrum sativum plant, commonly known as cilantro. The seeds are round, tan to light brown, and have a subtle, citrusy aroma. The flavor of coriander seeds is slightly spicy, with hints of lemon and sage.
When whole, they have a slightly crunchy texture, but when ground, coriander seeds develop a mild, warm, and slightly sweet flavor. They are commonly used in Indian, Middle Eastern, and Latin American cuisines, and are a key ingredient in spice blends like garam masala and curry powder.
Coriander seeds are also widely used in traditional medicine and are valued for their nutrient profile, which includes fiber, vitamins, and minerals
